San Francisco, California Residence dining room window, Paper Cut installation 2002 A whimsical, imagined "Tuscan Scene" is the subject of a three panel triptych, 96" X 84" and is intended to enhance the intimacy of the dining area by creating a translucent installation that obscures the view, while allowing day light and incandescent light to filter through. The installation is made of multiple layers of cut vellum. Light passes through the layers, which vary in density, creating patterns that range in value from bright white, to dark grey and black. The vellum is sandwiched between glass and mounted in a wood frame.
